The Home Screen

With its sleek and intuitive user interface the Voxcloud Softphone for Windows looks good and is easy to use.

All the commonly used functions are on the home screen and ready to go.

The top right of the screen tells you you are connected (green tick) and your extension number.

Making an Outbound Call

To make an outbound call just tap the numbers or type them on your keyboard. The blue x and xx can erase digits or whole numbers if you change your mind.

Then just press the green button to dial.

The In Call Screen

Shows the number of the person you are talking to and a duration timer.

When you are in a call there are some options:

  • Hold: Puts the call on hold and plays music on hold to the person on hold
  • Transfer: Transfer the call to another extension in your business or an external phone number
  • Keypad: Shows a keypad for in call dialling, e.g. to navigate through auto-attendants or IVRs
  • Mute: Mutes your microphone
In-Call Keypad

The In-Call keypad allows you to enter digits (DTMF) during a call, which allows you to navigate auto-attendants/IVRs etc

Press back to return to the main call screen

Action Confirmation

When you press any of the in-call options, the selected button turns yellow showing you it is active, simply tap it again to resume normal operation

You have an Incoming Call

When someone calls you, the screen will show their number (unless it‘s withheld) it will also show any prefix set up (on the number they called) so in this case we know it is a call to our Sales Line

Press Green to Answer or Red to Cancel. If you reject the call they will be sent to Voicemail (if it‘s configured)

Time for a Break?

We all need a break now and then, this is easy, just tap DND, the button will change to Active to confirm you are in Do Not Disturb

Any incoming calls will be sent to Voicemail (if it‘s configured)
